A Souvenir For Jerusalem
We chose two construction projects that are currently "hot" and controversial in the city of Jerusalem and we took them for a walk in the wonderland – we swallowed, measured, shrank, wrapped, played with them and we present them to the residents of the city as a souvenir; the Jerusalem Chords Bridge that collapses or raises by pushing a button, and the “Holyland” in a bubble under a cover of snow. Those are two souvenirs that allow us "small ones" to play games of the big shots.
We live, work and create in Jerusalem, an ancient city in a building boom: luxury projects, hotels, commercial centers, bridges and railroads. The urban landscape is changing dramatically and serves us designers as a space of observation and criticism.
