sep 2009 - 100 years of Bezalel exhibition, Senate orangerie du, paris, France
An exhibition of Bezalel works in Arts and Design is being held in Paris from September 17th -31st 2009 at the "Orangerie du Senate" which is a very prestigious location. The gala opening of the exhibition took place on September 17th, was in the presence of Daniel Shek Israel's Ambassador in France, Senator Philippe Richert, and Professor Arnon Zuckerman the President of Bezalel, and included a dinner and reception attended by over 250 guests. The event and exhibition were organized by Bnai Brith of France led by Andre Nadjar and by the French Friends of Bezalel led by Zahava Aderi and Shaul Attias. The exhibition which was curated by Yona Fisher includes one hundred works of recent students and graduates along with descriptions of Bezalel's history as Israel's oldest academic institution and leader in arts and design. The exhibition will visit additional locations in Europe and in North America

mar 2009 - Adi foundation artists workshop
The Adi Foundation hosts a three-day workshop for artists from a broad range of visual and performing arts, as well as authors, poets, intellectuals and members of the academic community. The link between Judaism and art is explored, along with the topics of the biennial competition for The Adi Prize for Jewish Expression in Art and Design. Many of the participating artists acknowledged the workshop’s impact and influence on their own creative processes. The workshop offers a unique opportunity for artists and intellectuals to meet and further develop an awareness of those ideas cherished by Adi.
